I finally got myself a digital camera ! I paint mostely and it has been abit hard to find a scanner big enough to fit paintings like this one.

I'm making a series of old rockstars and this one is the first. I've got a Jimi Hendrix under construction and a few ideas on a Bob Marley and Bob Dylan.
I think I will call them The JimBobs when I'm finnished, comes natural I think...

nice work, i really find the composition interesting. i drew this once years ago, but with the 'ordinary' full face :) (Smile)

a definite favorite...i found this while randomly seraching for art on here related to jim morrison...great job...you did a wonderful job capturing him...and i love how it isnt his full face...clever.

this is incredible! i love the colors and textures in his face.. almost looks like he's made of marble. the composition is excellent and much more interesting than a traditionally framed " face in the center" approach. beautifully subdued color palette as well.

...and i'm always impressed by people who have the patience to work in oils...
